I used to be obsessed with Polyvore years ago, and I recently stumbled on the website (here‘s my page). Moreover, Miss Jaimie from Brilliant Earth asked me if I wanted to take part in a contest they are having weekly. Of course, I could not say no!
So, here is the set I created. It’s the kind of outfit I would wear for a romantic holiday in Paris. I’ve always wanted to visit this splendid city so..yes, “We end up dreaming instead of sleeping…” (quote stolen from Taylor Swift, as always! :P).
Brilliant Earth is the most shiny site of jewelry ever (yes, pun intended). If only I could buy some piece, it would definitely be the ring I used in the set (18K White Gold Tiara Eternity Diamond Ring) which reminds me of something elvish too (I’m back in The Hobbit & The Lord Of The Rings addiction – check my Tumblr to have proof). The earrings (The Promenade Earrings) are stunning as well and they fit perfectly in the set, they remind me of the Eiffel tower.

After girls posting pictures of a new Urban Decay palette bought at a Sephora store in Paris and the web exploding at the news (first denied and then confirmed), Urban Decay is officially launching a new palette: the Naked 3.
Obviously, I am pretty sure everyone of you already knows of the Naked 1 and the Naked 2 palettes (and I as much as sure that you own them at least one of them). Personally, I have always had Naked 2 on my wish list: I’ve always been fascinated by the cool toned eyeshadows it offers, but never brave enough to go and spend 45€ on it. 😛
It’s incredible how Urban Decay can come out with great color combinations even after two big hits palettes! I like how they went for a pink/gold colors, but I’m not sure it will work as great as the other two palettes: pink toned shadows are not very easy to wear and they don’t suit every skin tone, I am afraid!
I’m quite interested in the new Naked 3 palette, but I guess I still prefer the Naked 2 because I feel like it’s more natural and “naked” as the name says.
How about you? Are you going to buy it?

Here it the product I want to talk about today. It’s called True Color Lipstick by the brand Sleek and it is in the shade Smother (#797).
Color&Pigmentation. I picked this lipstick because I wanted a deep berry color to use during fall, since the trend of dark lips stole my heart. However, as you can see from the swatches it appears differently from the hand with respect to the color applied on the lips. I don’t know exactly why, but on the hand it seems more purple than it actually appears on the lips. When applied, it is a very deep color with a hint of purple – definitely a blue-toned shade. The pigmentation is very good, but it makes me question why the color is different from the hand to the lips.
Application. Very easy and smooth. It applied like a dream, really. The consistency is very creamy and I did not have any troubles applying it straight from the tube though I usually do.
Longevity. Not bad, but not perfect either. I don’t remember how it behaves when eating or drinking (and I fear I still haven’t tested it in this way), but it stays on the lips for at least 3-4 hours. The only trouble is that it tends to go a little bit patchy: the color tends to slide to the center and to the edges of the lips. As a result, I always have the need of blending it to avoid an awkward look. What I usually do is: put a some kind of chapstick on it and rub the lips together to redistribute the color. If this is not enough I’ll use a finger to blend the color better. On a better note, it stains the lips very nicely and it’s quite hard to get it off too!
Packaging. When I first got it, I though it was a sample. It’s tiny-tiny-tiny if compared to any kind of lipsticks. The amount of product may be less, but the packaging is extremely defined. I love it. It’s not sleek (despite the name of the brand), but opaque and it reminds me the feeling of NARS packaging or the Lorac PRO palette one (aka it tends to get dirty easily). The cap clicks brilliantly and, honestly, I may like the package as well as the lipstick itself. 😛
Overall 8/10. I’m not completely sure about the shade. Maybe I was expecting something slightly more berry instead of purple-y. Nevertheless, I think it’s a great product for its price. I like the packaging and the fact that it’s very easy to apply. The stain it leaves is quite nice as well. I will surely buy some more shades from this line. I just have to stop shopping for a little while! 😛
Bonus for you. I read online that it’s one of the closest shade to MAC Rebel lipstick. This is the main reason I decided to add it in my cart! 😉
Have you ever tried these line of lipsticks? How do you like them?

Hello, everybody and let’s welcome the second week of September!
Autumn is coming soon, as we know, and Fall is my favorite season, I think. I love that it’s getting cold, but not as cold as winter! You curl up in bed with a nice hot cup of tea and watch all the TV shows start again! Yes, Autumn is my favorite season also because of TV shows! 😛
Anyway, I was looking online for nice online clothes&shoes shop and I found MartOfChina. It hit me because of how very inexpensive the pieces are and, nevertheless, there’s a huge variety of stuff you can buy – especially shoes. That’s why I decided to simulate an order of what I would buy for this upcoming Fall!!!
Let’s start with clothes and, to be more specific, dresses.
Concerning bottoms, I’m all over shorts and skirts. I really don’t know if I’ll be brave enough to wear them at uni, but when I go out there’s no doubt I will!
1 – 2 – 3 – 4
The shorts which look like a skirt are getting more and more famous around the web, and I’m caving in too! They have the look of a cute skirt, but they are as comfortable as actual shorts! Another item on my wish list are plain simple black or grey shorts, so that I can wear them with basically anything: make them more classy with some heels or more easy with boots! Oh, and a simple black skirt should never miss in a girl’s closet! 😉
Even if Fall isn’t as cold as Winter, sweaters are good anyway.
For accessories, during Fall I’m generally very into gold like pieces more than silver finishes. I feel like they match outfits better and give more of a warm feeling to the look.
Scarves should be quite useful too. Maybe I would avoid the real heavy ones and I would save them for Winter, but these down here are good alternatives.
Some random pieced I would add to my wish list are: simple-but-cute shirts for more boho/romantic looks and a good leather jacket to spice up a simple outfit. I couldn’t live during the Autumn months if I didn’t have a leather jacket, and my old white one should really be replaced!
And now..let’s come to my favorite part of the post! Shoes!
I definitely need some nice flats for my daily life at uni and I’m still not very sure on what to get.
1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 6
I’m sure about wanting classic oxfords because I bought a lace pair this Spring and I wore them non-stop. However, a good pair of simple ballerina flats wouldn’t hurt at all. Color wise, I am very tempted by reds, but I’m pretty sure I won’t be bold enough! Nudes or light browns work better for my personality.
What about night (or days) when you feel more brave? Here are some heels that stole my heart.
1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 6
Again, it’s nudes vs black. These are pretty classic shoes that fit every outfit. I’m planning on buying some nude heels since last year and, hopefully, this year I’ll be lucky! I would also love to get some suede pumps too: very Autumn-like, yet sophisticated. I’m not sure about how many comfortable shoes I will find, but the wedges inspire me very much: it’s being taller without much suffering! 😛
For boots, I would stick to dark colors and, to me, this means black and black only.
1 – 2 – 3 – 4
I would love to get the ones from #1. They would be so comfortable, despite the wedges! And they would be perfect even to simply to go university. #2 should be pretty comfortable as well, and #3 are so cute, aren’t they?! I’m sure a lot of you will be asking if #4 are the infamous Louboutin ones and..no, they are not, but..pretty similar, uh?! I would love to be able to actually be brave enough to wear those booties! 😛
And that is all, girls! Here’s my Autumn wish list and, hopefully, I’ll come back with a nice fashion haul soon!
If you have some free time, check out the shop at MartOfChina and let me know your favorite items!!! There are really tons of styles to choose and the shoes section is unbelievable huge! 😉
Talk to you soon. ❤

Hello, deary readers! ❤
I was thinking about writing a post here and thousands of nice ideas started to pop in my mind.
I thought going for the one that inspired me the most, the Ombre-Hair Trend.
The “ombre-hair” term stands mostly for “hair gradually lighter” towards the tips. A trend that has been seen also reversed with hair gradually darker on the tips or coloured up having fun with pops of colours on the end of the hair.
If you want to go just as the trend suggest, it’s necessary that your hair is healthy and ready to get the shock of bleaching/dying. It’s also true that if your hair gets too much damage you can always chop off the ends and you’re done.
And here comes one other thing that can make the ombre trend work well: your hair must be longer than shoulder-lenght. Obviously it’s not necessary, but with long hair this trends works better, plus, as I was saying before, if you’re not satisfied with how the dying turned out you can still short your hair cutting the lenghts.
Coming to your hair colour.
– If you’re a lucky really light blonde head this trend will work if you want to do the “reversed ombre” technique, which means darken your tips or, the most fun of all, the coloured ombre hair. Pick a colour you like, pink, blue, green and colour the tips! I find the prettiest looks are those which have more than just a harsh colour on the tips but those which gradually change colours. For example: from blonde you can go to a nice orange colour and then end with a really bright red! Awesome, right?
– If your hair is blonde/light brown you can go for every ombre technique you like. Colour, lighter or darker hair! You can go crazy! 😉
– If you are instead a brunette, you’ll probalby need to bleach to a very fair blonde before dying, otherwise the colour of your choice won’t show up at all.
– If you are the luckiest (in my opinion), a red head, this trend might be a little bit tricky. To be honest, I’ve seen thousands of pictures of girls (even guys love it!) with blonde or brunette hair, so I don’t have many suggestions for you. But don’t give up. Maybe you can go easily for a ombre hair of lighter red on the tips or an orange-to-blonde! Possible colours don’t come up to my mind, though.
Since ombre-ing your hair requires generally permanent dye and stress for your hair, you might think you’ll never be able to go for it, if you don’t feel confident to permanent colour your hair.
Well, you can be wrong.
It’s been weeks that hair-companies are advertising coloured hair-mascaras and hair-shadows! You can simply try the trend for a day and see how it goes. Then, with just a simple wash your hair will come back as before!
It can definitely be a way to try if you like yourself with coloured tips and then maybe decides to go for the actual dye! 😉
Another fun way is to use coloured chalk. Yes, you’ve heard right! Simply wet your hair and pass on it the chalk, then set everything you heat and a nice hairspray. It might not be healthy for your daily hair routine, but for a fun night out..why not?
Concerning the style of ombre hair, you can really show them off in all the ways! I find it works a little better with curly/wavy hair, but straight hair works well too! And why not try a fun coloured bun? 🙂 Just be creative! Even a simple braid can completely change if done with ombre hair!
Coming to me, I’m really tempted by this awesome ombre hair trend. Too bad I still have short hair and I don’t feel like dying it for the first time when it’s still so short!
Talk to you in the next post!
ps. A treat for you: why don’t try “ombre” in makeup too? Here’s a video on how to achieve this gradient look! 😉
